As I read more I learn more. BudyPress is wonderful, but not everyone has to have the installation. There were hints to it earlier as I was reading about it, and I jumped on the posting bandwagon about it. However, not everyone has to have a BuddyPress installation.

It seemed like the application was for the blog owners with high usage. They mention the WordPress MU application. I finally found that, and I do not fit those qualifications at all. However I thought of doing that for the school I work at, and I think it would be an awesome addition to any school. Imagine if all teachers and students had access to a school wide set up of blogs. I think there is a huge potential there. Universities are already doing this. It would be an awesome addition to any alumni or employee association.

Are you in an area where you can use WordPress MU? If you are then I think BuddyPress is going to fit right in and now I can see the bigger picture. To find out more about WordPress MU simply visit this site.

Maybe I am dragging my feet in jumping on the BuddyPress addition to my blogs because at this time I am not sure that my blog needs BuddyPress. However there are a lot of blogs out there with readers in the thousands. Perhaps if you are not ready to use it on your blog, there are blogs that you will want to participate more socially with by using the BuddyPress features.
What determines whether or not you want to install BuddyPress to your blog?

I think it would be great to be a tester for it. However reality hits me in the face. If I do not have the blog readership at this point in time, how would I ever get people to start interacting socially on my blog.

I believe that you do not have to activate all the features. What features are there? It seems that there are several. I have found this information on http://buddypress.org/about. If you are ready for more interaction on your blog, you should visit there and join the community.

It has been months now that BuddyPress has been in testing and there are a lot of comments. You can spend a lot of time learning, or if you are tempted to download BuddyPress, like I am, you can learn by doing.

As I learn more about BuddyPress I will add to this blog. It reminds me of Google Friend Connect in certain ways, only it takes Google Friend Connect to a higher degree of activitiy.
