How To Speed Up Your Reading

In this information overloaded world how many of us spend most of our day reading? I know as a full time teacher and part time internet marketer, I spend hours reading. There is so much great information out there on blogs and ebooks, and I want to know all I can about the latest trends online. However I am a slow reader so I run out of time to read all I want. I usually fall asleep reading and wake up hours later with the light still on in my room.

I subscribe to Daily Blog Tips and saw this video on there. There were some great comments here, and I know I can use help to speed up my reading.

Has anyone used the information in this video? Let me know if you do and your results with it. I would love to be able to read faster and then to remember what I read. This seems like a great way to do it.

  1. Speed reading might be ok for some business articles and the like, but if they are too technical, I need to read each word carefully, usually more than once, to make sure I fully understand. When I’m reading a novel I actually love to take my time and cherish each word and mind image…so racing through isn’t my objective. I’ll give it a try on certain types of articles, though.
