Will Watching The Movie FaceBook Help Your Business

I use Google Buzz, Twitter, FaceBook, and some other social sites like WomVegas. They each serve a good purpose. I also started using Cinch for broadcasts, but have not done many. I am also signed up to use Blog Talk Radio, and am going to use that at work more. However that one about Blog Talk Radio is for another time and post.

Twitter is for fast postings and once in a while I add a link for some Amazon product or another business opportunity. Of course most of you know that already if you have been alive for a few years.

FaceBook is great for more interactions with people around the world. I find it is difficult to have a really serious conversation there though. Maybe because most of my FaceBook “friends” are either from online businesses or from my day job, or from my online games….did I just let it out that I still play online games?

How many people get involved in FaceBook games? Even Chris Lang has been seen using some of the FaceBook games (sorry to let that one out Chris). I pretty much avoid those though.

Now back to the topic at hand. Can watching the movie FaceBook help your business? What do you think? I wanted this topic to be more of a discussion than anything else. I have not watched the movie, but it is creating lots of discussions over at Google Buzz.

It seems that several of the successful people who make money on the internet are great at coding and diving behind what you see when you use the computer or any website. Applications are where it is at. If I had to go back to school, or maybe one day when I have extra time, I might even consider doing that.

Would you rather go watch a movie like FaceBook or read a book about successful people? I have heard so many different reviews about the movie. I wonder if it would somehow change my life if I saw it.

I hear there is drug use in the movie and a whole lot of profanity. Those are things I choose to avoid. How much of that is necessary to the story line? Do you have to use profanity and drugs to be successful in these times? Could they have left that out of the movie?

I am noticing more and more that profanity in the “mainstream” is becoming more and more acceptable. Is that true? Am I going off on a tangent here?

Well, back to the topic…I read that some people who saw the movie FaceBook really felt it gave them some insight into the struggles that Mark Zuckerberg had to face (book). They have a greater appreciation for him.

Now I think, it is Hollywood, and movies can tell the truth that they make up to get people to pay to buy the product. It is HOLLYWOOD. It is a STORY. I have heard that is it BASED on Mark Zuckerberg, but not exactly the way it was. I makes me think of all the movies about wars and the impact they made depending on the times when they were released.

Google Fan Club

Are you a fan of Google? I am sitting here thinking that we become consumer loyal to many brands, or many of us do. Do you? I know some people who will not drink a Pepsi, it has to be Coca Cola, or at the very last resort they will have a substitute Cola product.

Yahoo search is good, but do you prefer Google for your search engine? Do you use Google Chrome, just because it is Google? There is going to be more and more brand awareness in the years to come as far as the internet corporate giants. I have watched it surfacing over the past few years, and now see how it has integrated into mainstream society.

How many times a week do you see Google Maps being shown on television?
Now that is some good exposure. Google and Maps is becoming like Kleenex to facial tissue. That is just one of the most prominent areas. Can you think of more?

Some people watch this more than I do and I watch them to keep informed. As a future full time internet marketer, it is important to be aware of the trends. Google is huge. Google is a place to advertise. Google can help you get quality visitors to your website. Google is expanding like crazy into a variety of markets. Should you be aware of this. Yes you should.

I plan on writing more articles like this in the future. This is an exciting time to be active online.

For years now Chris Lang has been my friend, and I see more and more people who I have online connections with getting connected with Chris Lang, too. It is nice when you can see the web spiders, work to spider your connections, too. This is not the same as Search Engine Spiders, but it is “Social Network Spider-webbing” to use another term. (Maybe that is another of my original terms but who knows, you heard it here, first then it is. September 18-2010).

The importance of going social is one I have talked about for years, and meeting Chris Lang on a social networking site has contributed to my knowledge of several of the big sites. That is a positive thing. Chris has some awesome connections, and you can learn a lot from them. They are highly motivated people. Being around people like this is necessary in a world filled with too much negativity.

Chris has a lot of You Tube Videos and this is his most recent on Google Predictions. Chris does a lot of homework, so I do not have to stay aware of all of it, but I can watch his videos to see what is new in the world of Social Networking.

I am watching this more than once because there is a lot of information in it. Listen for keywords, “Google Buzz”, “Google Me”, “Google Wave”, and “Google Friend Connect”.

It is a shame that Google’s attempts at mastering the Social Networking field have not been successful in the general public’s views so far. I have enjoyed using GFC, and Google Buzz. I could not get into Google Wave, but I hope they do not ditch that application completely. I don’t think they will.

If you are a serious blogger, and whether you have Word Press or Blogger, you need to be aware of what Google is doing and you should spend 10 minutes to watch this video. Please leave a comment to let me know if you have and what you think.

USA Jobs-Skilled Workers

I was really surprised when I was listening to some reports on a local news radio on my way home from my parent’s house tonight. They were interviewing people from companies saying that they have jobs available and no one to fill the positions. They were not talking one or two jobs but thousands of jobs that go unfilled.

This slows down production. What sort of skills did they say were wanted? These were manufacturing jobs paying $18/hour and up. The skills necessary were math skills. Plus the skills necessary to want to work in a manufacturing environment. They did not go into great detail, but I am thinking, that they need workers who can stand for long periods of time, and do not mind repetitive work that requires being alert.

It is great to hear that there are still manufacturing jobs in the USA! I thought we were sending everything overseas. However it is disheartening to hear of the high numbers of jobs going unfilled because people are not being prepared to work in this industry. It really makes me wonder how people are missing the education necessary to get a job that starts out at $18 per hour.

I will have to see if I can find out more details about this.

Math is important. I feel that everyone has the ability to learn math. However not everyone is given what they need to learn math. With all the tutorials available on You Tube now, and on other sites around the internet, parents need to make sure they work with their children to get them to go over these tutorials.

Prentice Hall publishes tutorials for their text books online and they are really excellent. They have really improved their math tutorials. I hope people will find what they need to get off the unemployment lists. I hope that our parents will continue to play a strong role in the education of their children by helping them to find easy to access help for areas they struggle in.

My First Review Of Google Buzz

I titled this My First Review of Google Buzz because I am hoping that there will be more reviews of Google Buzz to follow this one.  I am writing this on the fly so hopefully it will make sense.

First of all, I am so surprised to see how few of the people in my contact list on my one of my older gmail accounts even have a Google Profile.  If you are using Google, take the time to make your profile. If you are socially minded at all on the net you should make a Google profile.

Why should you have a Google profile?  I bet you think you are going to be hounded by spam mail.  That is going to happen if you use the internet at all it seems, however, you can decide who to give access to, and who not to give access to.

Now on to more of the review.  (Google developers are you going to read this?)

I think I will bullet this and do my best not to have it go into a rant and rave sort of thing, but just my honest thoughts.

First of all my background as a techie-geek-amateur.  I realize I am not a coder.  What I know about the computer comes from reading lots of help menus.  I can build my own computer and build a website that is basic (extremely basic).  I enjoy the social parts of the internet.  I use Facebook, Twitter, and most recently WomVegas for my social sites.  However I have started getting to know people who use Google Buzz.  Oh I also have a few YouTube videos, but not as many as I should.

  1. I noticed the icon for Google Buzz in my Gmail account a while ago, but was not sure what it was all about.  Did I miss the email sent out to Google account holders that told about Google Buzz?  Was there one?  (I hope if you know, and got an email, that you can put that email in a comment here.
  2. It seems when I want to know what is happening with Google I find out from one loyal internet friend, Chris Lang.  I feel Google Buzz should reward Chris Lang for all he does to keep people like me informed of what is going on.  I dedicate this post to Chris Lang. Google could learn a lot about reaching people with limited time to do their own research the way Chris Lang can, and put everything into words that amateur or non-techie people can use.  Google, you need to be in more contact with your users, and have a suggestion box (or hire Chris Lang as a consultant).
  3. Thanks to Chris letting me know about the Buzz once something I posted showed up there, I started getting interested in Google Buzz.  Seriously I do not know how I got something I wrote to appear on Google Buzz, but it must have been meant to be.  This is why I am writing this review.  I like the people I have met on the Buzz.  So far the talk has been educational.  It comes from they types of people who I do not get to interact with outside of the day job because I live quite an isolated existence after work.
  4. How many people are there like me in the world?  I like to learn new things daily and interact with people who do interesting things and want to share them.  I like being around positive people who I can have a discussion with.  How can you meet people like this when you work more than full time and then try to run an online business after the day job is over, and do all the other domestic stuff to keep your house in some what livable order and your clothes from looking like you slept in them?
  5. What did #4 there have to do with my review of Google Buzz?  Everything! Google Buzz developers need to realize what they have created and make it easier to access.  When I am in my Gmail account, I want to do Gmail stuff.  I do not want to be distracted by Buzz, and then forget to check my email because I run out of time.
  6. There are features where you can turn Google Buzz comments off in your received email files.  That is great.  Am I missing the part where I can access Buzz without going into Gmail? I would like that feature.  I will have to go back and check my Google Profile to see if I can access it there.
    You can get access to all of your own comments and the replies to it by going to your Google Profile. Did I mention that you need a Google Profile to use Buzz?
  7. I think there is a huge potential for Google Buzz for people who want to have discussions on a variety of topics where they want to have them open  for friends of friends to comment.  I enjoy getting to know friends of friends this way.  As mentioned earlier, where can you go to meet people to have a great conversation with now days?  If you are a non drinker, it is really difficult to talk to someone you have not met.
  8. Other pluses for Google Buzz can be for specific group interactions.  If you are in business this can be another way to have an open meeting without being face to face.  I see it as being great for brainstorming sessions.  Each Buzz has a central topic created by the one who started it.  I see great potential here that you can not get on Twitter and Facebook.

To sum it all up, I feel that Google has created another good platform with Buzz, but I wonder if it is just the Beta version for Google Me.  That is what a lot of Google users are talking about.  A Google social site with geographic tie ins.    Some Buzz users seem very skeptical that Buzz will be here today and gone tomorrow, as Google moves on to their next phase of testing the social waters.

How many of you remember Yahoo Groups?  I remember joining a few of them.  Yahoo was ahead of the social networking craze with Yahoo Groups.  Yahoo has a great platform for Blog users who have any type of Blog with MyBlogLog. It does not matter if you use Blogger, WordPress or another blog format. This is another way that Yahoo lead the pack in organizing groups of people with similar interests.

I mentioned Yahoo because I feel what they were doing from the start to get people to have places to share ideas was way ahead of Google. Google was not set up to be social. However, Google has seen that people are basically social. We have less time and money to go hang out in clubs to have meaningful discussions (?), so there is an area they can tap into.

My opinion is that people like Google. There is just something about it that we like. I like the no frills searching where I can get to my search destination without being distracted along the way. Gmail is incredible. There was and is a lot of thought that is in Gmail. I think that is why I hold on to the belief that Google can build a great social site eventually.

Google has the sorting features down and the grouping features down in Gmail. I hope that with Google Buzz we can see the developers taking it to a great feature for those of us who want to use it.

Who is Alex Sysoef?

Why do I recommend  Expert WordPress Blogging System?

I think most of my readers know who Alex Sysoef is. If you are new to my blog and you do not know him, then I hope you will follow my links to his site and get his help for your affiliate marketing success. I have written about him before and will probably write about him again.

I met Alex years ago, when he was working a full time job and so was I. Alex knows how to program, and the ins and outs of affiliate marketing. We met on a forum, or on one of Luke Parker’s web projects where I was a beta testing and a forum moderator.

I was always impressed by Alex’s desire to help people succeed online, and with his desire to stop working around the clock. It seemed we were all doing that then. That sort of schedule resulted in me getting really ill, and realizing I can only take so many hours without getting little sleep. It resulted in Alex using his talents to develop what I feel is one of the best, if not the best, groups of bloggers around. Many are bloggers in training, but many have also become quite accomplished with affiliate marketing.

I like to attend his webinars when time permits. Usually they are when I am at work, but he adds the recordings to his membership site. I really would rather be there live than listen to a recording. How about you?

This is very typical of what you get with Alex Sysoef.  He scheduled the webinar for an hour, but he went into details about teaching people how to get their first blog up and running and then how to go out and start getting some free traffic to their blog.   I participated in one of Alex’s tests when he was going to be adding to his Expert WordPress Blogging System, and I know how his techniques can get your blogs to some high search engine rankings.

I am not going to teach what he teaches in this post, but I recommend that you go check out his site for yourself.

I have been really lucky to interview Alex when I was conducting interviews at Mastermind Pros.  It is hard to believe that was about 2 years ago.  What has changed since then?  Word Press has changed a lot and is even better.  Alex has improved Expert Word Press a whole lot, too, and keeps the installations compatible with the current WP updates.  That can be really difficult to do when you use a lot of the plug ins.

Are you having technical trouble with your blog?  Alex has a forum for Expert WordPress users where you can get your questions answered.  Alex and I were chatting via email the other day about different success programs out there, and Alex was talking about people who over deliver on their products.  Alex Sysoef is definitely one of those people who does the same.

Free is good, affordable is good, too, when the product can save you time and money that you would spend to learn everything he can teach you about your blogging success.

I read somewhere that most bloggers are writers and not marketers.  Sooner or later bloggers are going to want to make some extra money to support all that blogging.  Once you are ready to take the step into the world of affiliate marketing you will want to join the Expert Word Press team.  It is not join and get rich over night, but it is join and find out what you can do to improve your chances of successful marketing with your blogs.

Whether you want to blog for fun, or blog for profit, there is something for everyone at EWP (Expert WordPress).  Alex has a series of videos that walks you through your first installation when you get your hosting.  You should have your own hosting, because that way you will not mess up some terms of service by whoever is providing the  blogs.

Hostgator Web Hosting can get you up and running and if very affordable with enough room to keep you blogging for a long time.  Alex has his blogs set up to work fine with Hostgator, too.  I have used his fast installation, and it is the best thing going, because you get everything you need and his EWP site does all the ground work.

Fact: Blogs Need Daily Traffic

Attention Readers:

When you show me the traffic then
it won’t be long before you can show me the money!
Do you believe it?

  • Without traffic who is looking at your blog or website?
  • Are happy just sharing among your inner circle?
  • Is it time to step out of the box here and look at why you are blogging?

Is your blog or website a business or is it just because you love to write?
Even if you just love to write and share information, wouldn’t it be nice to
have some extra dollars rolling in so maybe you could automatically pay for
your hosting fees?

If you are hobby blogging or have a hobby website maybe some extra money coming in would get you more toys or whatever you need to expand your hobby.

How do you get some extra traffic to your website?

That is the question men and woman have been seeking to answer daily.  It changes
over time.  That is one thing you can count on.

Getting traffic to your website or blog requires a variety of tools and techniques.

Some people excel at driving traffic to their websites and blogs. Others never quite catch the fact that getting traffic takes a combination of time, energy, and money.


  • Do you have to reinvent the wheel though?
  • Do you have to be an innovator to succeed in getting visitors to your blog or web pages?

There are people who are very successful and never worry about having
a top page listing at Google.  They have other ways to drive traffic.  I bet
you want to know what they are doing.

The Top Three Ways To Drive Traffic To Your Blog Or Website For 2010

1. Go Social: While this may sound easy, you have to make sure you find the right social sites to be active on.
There are so many sites out there, and we are drawn to the top ones such as Twitter and Facebook. However did you think that it might be easier to make friends on a less populated site?
Friends who would actually want to get to know you?

This is part of relationship building that is so important in this era of Web 2.0 and now 3.0 and beyond.

  • Take time to look around at the social sites and before you spend all your time there, get to know it.
  • Is this the type of site where you can make a difference?  Do you like the people and the culture of the site?
  • What do they offer as far as ways to promote your business service?

2. Become A Valued Blog Commenter: Share your personality, knowledge, and enthusiasm with other blogs.

Become the visitor that you want to have visityour blog.    This is something I stress.  When you are the visitor, you are going to get visitors.  This, too, develops excellent relationships.

I have made good friends across the internet that started with blog
comments.

3.Promote Your Link: This last way can take
the most time and money depending on how you choose to do it.
While steps one and two require some time, the costs can be free to minimal depending on the social sites you join. If you are paying for a social site make
sure you are getting publicity for your websites and blogs from it.

Also search for people who will reciprocate some link exchanges with
you. The more popular their site is, the more good it will do you to
have your link there.

The following ways do work, but they require more knowledge and time
spent. You have probably heard of most of these ways and they are in depth
topics for other articles.  I will give a brief overview of three ways to promote.

  • Search Engine Advertising:  Yahoo, Google, MSN-Bing:
    These do cost you per click and you need to set up a budget and be able to monitor your ads daily and change them as needed for your success.
    Some people start this way and once they are getting traffic they can discontinue the ads.
    This advertising is a great way to get specific demographic targeting
    to your site.
  • Text Ad Exchanges:
    There are thousands of them out there.  I am finding more success at the smaller ones rather than the larger ones.  You can either spend time clicking on ads to get points for free advertising, or you can pay small fees to send out solo ads.  The solo ads do get response but remember sometimes you have to repeat this step several times to get noticed.
    This form of marketing takes time and patience to be good at, but it can be highly rewarding.
  • Link Exchanges Or Ad Exchanges:
    There are a variety of these on the internet, and they can get you traffic.
    Once again you have to consder if you want to use the free way or the paid way.  Most of them involve either clicking on ads and viewing them for a certain length of time to get points,or exchanging links with other sites so you are constantly adding links to your blog to send visitors off to other blogs.

I have had good results using all of the above methods.  The method I use depends on my time and my cash flow.  I am always looking for the best ways and the most affordable ways to drive traffic to my blogs.  I hope this encourages you to get out there and start getting your blog or website some traffic.

Free Internet Coaches at WomVegas

I felt that the title for this post was appropriate since I am finding free internet coaches at WomVegas. There is more than that, and I believe this site should really get to be quite popular. The main reason is that you can join for free and do and learn quite a lot there without having a paid membership.

As evidenced below, even the banners are fun!



There are several internet marketers there who are willing to share their experience with you in their convention rooms. It is great to read through their years of experience and things they have to share. It is good internet coaching from people who use what they are talking about each and every day.

Timothy L. Drobnick Sr. Starts His Own Unique Social Network

Many social networking websites these days are springing up, because proprietors want to cash in on this huge growing market, and many websites are copying the styles of other social network websites, in order to get their piece of the future potential pie in the world of social networking. However, in the case of Timothy L. Drobnick Sr., he has built his own social network, womvegas.com, because for the past 15 years he has been showing people how to promote their business on the Internet, and part of what he does is to show online entrepreneurs how to use social networks for marketing and business promotions, but the social networking websites are constantly changing their rules and fees and formats like diapers. For that reason, Mr. Drobnick decided to start his own social networking website, in his own unique way, with the goal of making his social network website friendly for businesses, entrepreneurs, artists and bands, contractors, retail stores, online stores and services, and marketing professionals. At the same time, WomVegas.com is designed to be a fun website for non-marketers, and a good way to meet real people online and socialize in the hundreds of chat rooms.

Why Another Social Network Website?

Mr. Drobnick states “as the owner of VIP Wealth Club, I have been teaching people how to use blogs and social networks to promote any business. However, in trying to keep up with social networking websites, and looking how they are controlled, and how they are constantly changing their rules and formats and fees all the time, I was having difficulty accurately telling people how to use social media marketing to promote their businesses effectively. It can be very frustrating and confusing.”

Timothy L. Drobnick Sr. has built and operated many websites and online businesses over the past 15 years. He says “I have studied SEO strategies from the best SEO experts, and as soon as I found something that was working well for my websites, then Google or yahoo, or some other search engine that was sending me the most traffic, all of the sudden would give me lousy rankings for no reason at all. But I get tired of having to go back and re-tape my learning videos and change what I recommend, because the rules and formats change so much and so often. So I realized, that by building and controlling my own social network, which various types of businesses and marketing individuals can use to promote themselves online, I can confidently tell the 50,000+ members of my marketing websites, and the rest of my students and affiliates at VIP Wealth Club, how to use one social networking website that I know will not go against them.”

Timothy L. Drobnick Sr. recently started womvegas.com, his social networking website, by attracting an army of Internet marketers and online proprietors, who are always looking for a good solid way to make money online and have residual income, and he is offering them commissions for referring new members and customers. Many of the chat rooms have strict rules against advertising or promoting in the chat area.

Upgraded members get their own chat room(s) where they make the rules for the room, and in those member-controlled chat rooms, other womvegas.com members have to request and be approved to post in the room by the upgraded member of that room.

Mr. Drobnick has also created a totally innovative way in womvegas.com to allow all the members of womvegas.com, both free or upgraded, to post text ads throughout his website, and the way that is done is by using activity points they can earn by playing games and visiting and “signing the guestbook” at certain pages on womvegas.com. The ads on the website can be placed by using points to bid in the text ad auction. That is part of what makes womvegas popular and fun, at the same time as it gives businesses and marketers a way to advertise online.

Womvegas.com is still new, and there are still glitches, and some of the features and functions could be more user-friendly, but for only having been launched less than a month ago, it is enjoying extremely high traffic and is already popular with people from around the world. According Timothy L. Drobnick Sr., he has taken his 40 years of sales and business experience, and combined it with his 15 years experience as a full time Internet marketer and trainer, and created his best enterprise so far, and has built this one to last for a very long time.
